Wes is a wealth of knowledge and has been the missing piece I’ve needed to step up my deer management. I’ve had multiple management plans written and have been implementing them approximately 10 years, but I haven’t quite seen the results I’ve expected. Wes has been the missing link I’ve needed. His knowledge of habitat along with his expertise in agriculture have separated him from the crowd in my opinion. There are a lot of so called food plot “experts” out there that haven’t had to rely on farming to put food on the table. Wes understands every aspect of food plotting and will not steer you wrong. The last thing that separates Wes from the crowd is the fact that he’s just a great guy! He could’ve easily convinced me to pay for another plan but instead I was able to keep my money and put it towards growing quality plots. He will not promise what he can’t deliver and doesn’t badmouth competition….. something rare in 2026. Give Wes a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I live in South Central KY & have been a DIY food plotter for several years, & I’ve had successes & total failures. I’ve watched several You Tubers about food plottin’, but most were not geographically near our small farm in KY. Luckily I came across Wes on his You Tube Channel a few years ago. The more I watched his videos the more I came to respect Wes for his expertise, variety of topics covered, professionalism, work ethic, simplicity, & mostly his Integrity! It’s a huge plus that he is close to our KY farm.
My local Co-op “advisor” has been very good to me & great to work with, but he is very close to retirement so I decided last year I’d give Wes a chance. His “Test” plot series last year was great. From soil samples, fertilizing, planting, row spacing, herbicides, & every other step in the process he has been very helpful. Wes took it to the next level when he took plant samples & had them tested.
I was hooked!!! He gives proof that his seed varieties are hands down scientifically beneficial to Whitetail deer. As a landowner I want to do as much as possible to help our local herd be as healthy as possible. I’ve been a very lucky hunter & giving back to the animals I pursue is extremely important to me.
This Spring I reached out to Wes & let him know I have 2 acres dedicated to a destination plot & intended to plant his Rocket Fuel corn & Monster Maker. He was very helpful & promptly answered all my questions.
I ordered 30,000 seeds of his 115 day Rocket Fuel corn (1 acre) & 80 lbs of the Monster Maker (1 acre). I was so impressed with out first interaction I joined his DIY Elite Land Management
I sprayed glyphosate several weeks before planting & planted last week. Wes has been a complete pleasure to work with. He has answered every question I’ve had, more than I initially expected, extremely quick, & precise. I can’t say enough great things about how he has taken care of my every need!

As a new food plotter, I called around to several online companies or companies that I had seen on Youtube. I either didn’t get a call back, I talked to someone for two minutes, or I got no answer. I then called Wes, with DYI, and he spent 30+ minutes talking about everything from current soil conditions to climate, and even took the time to look at pictures of our future plot locations.
Wes talked me though what seed to buy, he walked me through step by step how, what, and when to plant. He answered every question I had and I never felt rushed, or like I was wasting his time.
After all the hard prep work we finally were able to broadcast his amazing looking seed yesterday. We cannot wait to see how it turns out and I could not recommend Wes and DYI more!
