Pull the doves, whitetails, and pollinators in with Sunflower PRO. Sunflowers are a great choice for whitetails and dove hunting food plots. Packed with high levels of phosphorus and calcium, and over 30% crude protein, throw in the highest digestibility we’ve ever tested, makes this crop a must have for serious whitetail hunters. Sunflowers have long been the gold standard for dove hunting food plots, as this crop has great pulling power for doves. 
If planting sunflowers alone and deer are known to destroy the sunflowers, increase the planting rate and or the acreage. 

Sunflowers can be no till drilled, planted with a planter, or disk and broadcast method.
Plant into warm soils 1 month after your last frost free date at 20-25LBS per acre at a target depth of 1/2” deep. Refer to soil test for Phosphorus, potassium, soil pH….apply 2-4 50LB bags of 46-0-0 per acre just before planting. Use the higher rate for higher expected yields and lower rate for lower yields.

Weeds and grass management: plant into a clean field that has been sprayed or disked. Plant and lightly cover the sunflower seed and immediately spray the ground before the sunflowers emerge with dual magnum. Dual magnum is a pre emergent herbicide that will help control weeds and grasses while the sunflowers get to canopy.
